Arsenal will have to see off Italian outfit Udinese to reach the group stages of the Champions League.

Gokhan Inler is one of several stars to have left Udinese this summer.

The Gunners must safely negotiate a a final play-off round after finishing fourth in the Premier League last season behind Manchester United, Chelsea and Manchester City.

Udinese, who also finished fourth in their domestic league, will head to the Emirates Stadium for the first leg in the week beginning 15th August, with the return leg in Italy a week later.

Arsene Wenger’s men are still on the hunt for a first-ever European Cup triumph, having lost to Barcelona in the 2006 final.

The Gunners are 1/4 to see off Udinese, with the Italians 11/4 to cause a shock and send Arsenal crashing out.

Udinese has lost the services of three key players over the summer, with defender Cristian Zapata heading to Villarreal, midfielder Gokhan Inler joining Napoli and forward Alexis Sanchez having linked up with European champions, Barcelona.

Arsenal’s plans for the coming campaign are still up in the air as uncertainty surrounds the futures of key midfield pair Cesc Fabregas and Samir Nasri.
