England will have to do without Danny Welbeck and Michael Carrick for their international friendlies against Chile and Germany.
The Manchester United duo were involved in helping the Three Lions reach the World Cup in Brazil next summer but will take no part in the games this month.
Welbeck missed United’s 1-0 victory over Arsenal in the Premier League at the weekend due to an knee injury, whilst Carrick (who played against the Gunners) is continuing to struggle with an Achilles problem.
England boss Roy Hodgson has decided not to call any new players up as cover and will have 26 men to chose from for the encounters with Chile on Friday and Germany the following Tuesday.
The Three Lions are 20/1 to win the 2014 World Cup outright and 13/8 to keep a clean sheet against Chile on Friday.
Hodgson’s side can be backed at 15/2 to beat their South American opponents 2-1 at Wembley, with Andros Townsend available at 14/1 to open the scoring.
