Haye predicts quick fight

David Haye claims he is in his best ever shape to face Dereck Chisora.

David Haye has warned Dereck Chisora that he will be ‘getting knocked out quick’ in Saturday’s heavyweight grudge fight at Upton Park.

The former WBA heavyweight champion is relishing the opportunity to face his British rival in the ring this weekend as the duo have frequently traded insults since being involved in a fracas at a press conference in the aftermath of Chisora’s loss to Vitali Klitschko in Munich in February.

And, Haye insists that he is in ‘the best ever’ shape to enjoy an early finish by seeing off Chisora with a knockout blow. Haye is 1/3 to win the fight, 13/10 by a knockout, while Chisora can be backed at 12/5 to win.

Haye said at their final press conference: “Dereck’s getting knocked out quick. The harder he comes the quicker he gets KO’d. My training has been good. I’m healthy, fit and fast.

“This training camp has been one of the first I’ve been able to do everything we planned because nothing has broken down.

“It’s a situation I’ve never been in before and I can feel the difference.

“My sparring partners have felt the difference as well. Unfortunately for Dereck he’s fighting the best ever Hayemaker.”

Chisora hit back at Haye’s claims to warn him that he will be at his ‘craziest’ ever when he steps into the ring.

He added: “Everything has gone well for me, I have no injuries and it’s going to be a great fight.”
