Man Utd Giggs urges focus on league matters

Ryan Giggs has vowed Man Utd’s upcoming glamour tie with Real Madrid will not avert their gaze from the prize of winning back the Premier League title.

The Red Devils winger admits it would be easy to get distracted by the last-16 Champions League clash against Jose Mourinho’s men next month.

But the 39-year-old is experienced enough to know the pit-falls of looking too far ahead and the damage that that can do in the immediacy.

Giggs may have to settle for a place on the substitutes’ bench at Old Trafford tonight when United host an ever-improving Southampton.

The hosts are 1/4 to win the game and 9/1 to secure a 3-1 victory, while they are 1/1 to keep a clean sheet.
